State Police Warning Drivers About Turbine

State Police issuing a warning to local drivers today to be on the lookout for a 187 ton turbine on the highway. General Electric is in the process of transporting a 187 ton turbine through Central New York this week. The turbine is 345 feet long and 20 feet wide and it's headed for Pennsylvania. The turbine will pass through Pompey and Tully, and then into Cortland County, hitting Preble, Homer and the City of Cortland. Troopers say the transport used to haul the turbine will be slow-moving and drivers in the area should be on the lookout for what they call a behemoth.
