Horrific Case Of Child Abuse Uncovered In Oswego County

Bubis, Whaley, Shaver

Four Oswego County residents are under arrest after a horrific case of child abuse was uncovered in the Town of Albion.

Sheriffs Deputies say the 10 year old girl in this case fled to a neighbors home and told them she was the victim of ongoing physical abuse. When police arrived, the horrific details of the abuse emerged. The child had been the victim of beatings since April.

She was struck with closed fists and was kicked repeatedly. The child had meals withheld and was required to eat one meal each day doused with hot sauce. The child was also required to work outside all day and was not provided food, water or access to a bathroom. Deputies say the child was even tied to the rear of a car and dragged by a rope.

Among those charged in the case are 37 year old Gary Bubis Junior, 23 year old Shawn Whaley and 18 year old Brandy Shaver. All three suspects have been charged with felony assault and police say additional charges are likely.

Anyone with further information about the suspects is being asked to contact deputies at 315-349-3411.
