Syracuse Police Search For Two Drivers Who May Be Witnesses

Syracuse Police are now asking for the public's help in tracking down some witnesses to a deadly pedestrian accident last month.

Ernest Collins was killed on August 26th when he was struck by a car while walking along North Salina Street that morning. The driver of the car who struck Collins was on the scene when police arrived and that driver has not been charged. City Police are looking for the drivers of two cars who are potential witnesses.

One driver was blowing a horn to alert on-coming traffic that there was a pedestrian in the roadway.Anyone who has information on the vehicles is being asked to contact city police at 315-442-5222.
