Onondaga DA's Office Staffer Ticketed In Fatal Crash

Salina, N.Y. - Tickets have been issued against a Liverpool woman recently hired by the Onondaga District Attorney's Office after she stuck and killed woman from India.

Deputies say that they have written Kaitlyn Guptill tickets for failing to stay in lane and failing to exercise due care following the August 23rd crash. Investigators say that Guptil had become distracted by a warning light on her dashboard. She then drifted onto the shoulder of Hopkins Road and ran over 49-year-old Jasbir Chada. Chada was in the country visiting family.

Deputies say that Guptill will be in court in the Town of Salina on October 5th to answer the tickets.
