Geddes Teen Charged With Making Multiple Bogus 911 Reports

A Geddes teen faces charges of falsely reporting an incident for making a number of bogus incidents that were reported to the 911 Emergency Center.

Deputies learned that the 911 Center received a number of "911 text message requests" with reports of "shots fired," active shooter," and "need for an ambulance" between October 4th and 17th.  All of the messages required rapid response from police, fire, and ambulance services.  After an investigation, deputies arrested 19-year-old Adam Dedrick and seized the cell phone used to send the messages. Dedrick was charged with seven false report offenses and released on an appearance ticket.  Dedrick was charged with a similar incident by Geddes Police in April of this year.
