Needles Found In Halloween Candy In One New York Town

Everyone has heard stories about people finding a razor blade in their Halloween candy, but most of those are just urban legends. However that wasn't the case for some families in one Central New York town, who lived a nightmare when they found a sharp object in the Twizzlers their kids got while trick or treating.

According to the Village of Vernon Police Department, two different people filed formal complaints after discovering needles inside packaged Twizzlers Twist candies given to their kids. The needles were about an inch and a half long and thankfully were found before the candy was eaten.

One of the mothers uploaded a video to YouTube of what she found in the Twizzler.

The two families are not related and do not know each other. Now police are warning people who trick or treated in that area to carefully inspect all of their kids' candy.
