Kaitlyn Conley, Guilty

Utica, N.Y. - It took two trials but, Kaitlyn Conley has been found guilty.

A jury has found Kaitlyn Conley guilty in the death of her boss Mary Louise Yoder.  The jury couldn’t convict Conley of the top count of second-degree murder but instead found her guilty of manslaughter.

Conley’s lawyer argued that she was a helpless pawn in a scheme by her abusive ex-boyfriend; Yoder’s son Adam.  Adam owed Conley thousands of dollars at the time of his mother's death.  Prosecutors say Conley killed Yoder in an attempt to get back together with Adam.

Coney will be sentenced Jan. 11th.
