An Oneida County corrections officer is accused of bringing narcotics into the state prison in Marcy.
State police report that their Community Narcotics Enforcement Team made the arrest on Saturday of Ryan Santos of Rome after a joint investigation between their team and the Office of Special Investigations with the state Department of Corrections. Santos is charged with felony attempted promoting prison contraband. Investigators say the investigation is ongoing and there are further charges pending. Meanwhile, Santos is free on his own recognizance.
