Madison County Duo Charged With Meth Manufacturing

Madison County Sheriff’s closed an 8 month investigation April 19th regarding meth manufacturing. 

They arrested  53 year old John Hofmeister and 42 year old Jennifer Shaughnessy  both of 6069 Creek Road, Lincoln. They both were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd degree (Class A Felony) , Manufacturing Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree (Class D Felony), and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree (Class A Misdemeanor).

They were also charged with Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine Lab Material (Class E Felony) as they are accused of disposing of meth materials by burning them in a burn barrel behind their residence. 

They were arraigned at the Village of Chittenango Court and remanded to the Madison County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.  They are scheduled to appear in Court on May 3 to answer the charges.  

The sheriff’s office was assisted by New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team.
