Slattery Receives Max For Gruesome Murder

A man who committed a gruesome killing of a Brewerton man was given the maximum sentence.

Corey Slattery was sentenced to 20 years to life for second-degree murder, the maximum the judge was permitted to hand down.

Slattery admitted to killing Aikeem Hudgins in December of 2016. Prosecutors said Slattery lured Hudgins to his apartment, strangled him to death, cut up his remains with a chainsaw, burned them and disposed of them in "numerous dumpsters" in Onondaga and Oswego counties.

Connie Ingoldby, who helped Slattery hide the body and clean the crimes scene was sentenced to one to three years in prison earlier this year.
