Littering Leads To Drug Charges

On Wednesday, May 16, 2018, around 7:25pm, Syracuse Police Officers observed an illegally parked vehicle in the 100 block of Glahn Ave. 

As they approached the vehicle, the rear seat passenger, 32 year old Camell Oliver, 32, of Baldwinsville, exited the vehicle, while smoking a marijuana cigarette. When Oliver saw the police he threw the cigarette to the ground.

Oliver was taken into custody.  During a search for further contraband, Oliver became uncooperative and began to struggle with the officers. Oliver was found to be in possession of 23.9 grams of cocaine, 8.4 grams of fentanyl and 22.8 grams of crystal methamphetatmine. 

Oliver was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. 
  • Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree. 
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree.                      
  • Four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree. 
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence.                                                               
  • Littering and Dumping.                                                                             
  • Unlawful Possession of a Marijuana.
