Man Who Shot Trooper Dead Owned 12 Illegal Weapons

New York State Police have released the autopsy results for the New York State Trooper who was killed earlier this week, and the man who officials say killed him.

Officials say Trooper Nicholas Clark was killed by Steven Kiley while responding to report of a suicidal person early Monday morning.  

According to the results Trooper Clark died as a result of being shot with a buckshot from a 12-gauge shotgun. Kiley died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Troopers say Kiley also suffered from a gunshot wound to the chest, from law enforcement. 

State Police also recovered 12 illegal firearms owned by Kiley, including eight assault rifles, one rifle, and three handguns along with two silencers and numerous high capacity magazines.State Police say the investigation is continuing
