Police Investigate Burglary, Find Drugs, Cash And A Gun

Syracuse, N.Y. - Back in July in the early morning of the 27th, Syracuse Police responded to 211 Burdick Avenue regarding a burglary. While investigating that incident, Officers noticed that 213 Burdick Avenue also appeared to have been broken into. Officers checked that residence for the possible the suspect, but no one was found. 

Officers did however observe drugs and drug paraphernalia inside 213 Burdick Avenue, and notified Detectives who secured a search warrant to check that residence. 

What they found was over 560 grams of Cocaine, over 999 grams of MDMA (Molly), over 185 Hydrocodone pills and 9 Oxycontin pills.  Detectives also recovered over $6600.00 in cash, a loaded Taurus 9 MM handgun and assorted drug packaging paraphernalia.

The investigation revealed that Anthony J. Vaccaro, 43 years old, was the tenant at that location. 

On August 8th Vaccaro turned himself int and was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st degree (2 counts), 3rd degree (2 counts), 5th degree and 7th degree (5 counts) and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree.
