Syracuse Police: Man Arrested After Robs Uber Driver After Fare Argument

Syracuse, N.Y. - A Syracuse man was arrested after he robbed his Uber driver while arguing about the fare.

Syracuse Police say that Laurence Walker was picked up by his Uber Driver early Saturday morning. The driver told officers that Walker was immediately incensed about the fare and began to argue about it.  The driver pulled over on Burnet Ave and that's when police say Walker grabbed the driver by the neck and demanded money.

The driver gave Walker the money in his wallet but continued to argue with him until police arrived and arrested Walker.

Walker was charged with robbery and petit larceny and is being held at the Justice Center until he is arraigned later this morning.
