The Best Of The NYS Fair In The Middle Of Winter

Syracuse, N.Y. -  It’s the best of the Great New York State Fair, but indoors and in mid-winter; the new Winter Fair 2019 will fill the Exposition Center at the Fairgrounds with the food, rides, music and entertainment that fairgoers know and love.

Troy Waffner, Fair Director announced today that this mini version of the Fair will take place Friday, Feb. 8 - Sunday, Feb. 10.

Steve Becker of Premier Promotions, who is the promoter for the Winter Fair says "The State Fair is the best and biggest party of the summer in Upstate New York. Our goal is to create the best party of the winter by borrowing some of the elements that make the Fair so great. We know this will be a good time and a great way to push aside the mid-winter blues,

Winter Fair will feature vendors offering a wide variety of fun foods and Fair favorites, like sausage sandwiches and pizze frittes.

The Mini-Midway will feature rides, such as a merry-go-round, giant slide, tilt-a-whirl, a fun house and amusement games.

A stage will feature music from a number of bands, including the Todd Hobin Band, the Blacklites, the Chris Taylor Custom Band, and more.

Becker is also working with organizers of the Van Robinson Pan-African Village at the Fair to also bring some elements of that area to Winter Fair.

Advance tickets go on sale Monday, Nov. 19. Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for teens and seniors. Children 12 and under will be admitted free of charge.
