Report Due From Rubber Stamp Commission For Albany Pay Hikes

Albany, N.Y. - A final report is due today form the commission assembled to rubberstamp a pay raise for the Governor and State Legislators.

By 2021, New York will have the highest paid legislature and governor in the country.  The Pay Commission decided to phase in the increase to lawmaker's salaries over the next three years. When it's over lawmakers will go from making close to $80,000 a year to $130,000.  As for the governor, they will be raking in a quarter million dollar a year salary.

Since the legislature already voted and approved the pay commission, there is no further vote needed.
