U.S. Attorney Considering Death Penalty In Chili's Double Murder

Syracuse, N.Y. - The U.S. Attorney's Office in Syracuse is considering  a death penalty case against the man accused of killing Chili's restaurant workers.

William Wood is accused of gunning down Kristopher Hicks and Stephen Gudknecht in a September robbery.

33 year old Wood, is already facing life in prison without parole if convicted of first-degree murder.

The last time the death penalty for a crime was discussed was in 2013 in the David Rentz rape of a 10 year old and the murder of school librarian Lori Bresnahan who was abducted in the parking lot of the Great Northern Mall.

New York State doesn't have the death penalty.
