UPDATE: 12/20/2018 Onondaga County Sheriff's have identified the person killed as 58-year-old William Miner of LaFayette. He was the driver of the pickup truck. His 14-year-old passenger is in critical condition.
Pompey, N.Y. - One person is dead and another is seriously hurt following a crash in Pompey.
Deputies say it happened just after 7-30 last night on Sweet Road -- between Gates and Sevier Roads.
Investigators say a pickup truck slammed into the back of a combine farm truck.
One person in the pickup was killed, while another is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
The operator of the farm equipment was not injured.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
