Firefighters Deal With Early Morning Blaze Intentionally Set

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Firefighters responded to an early morning fire yesterday at 800 South Wilbur Ave.

Just around 6am fire crews found a large vacant multi-use building in flames. There were no operational fire alarm and suppression systems in the building.

Firefighters knocked down the flames in about an hour.

Crews said a firefighter was treated for an injured shoulder, but is expected to be okay.

Firefighters said they located two separate origins of the blaze and determined the fire was intentionally set.

The fire is still under investigation.
