Lyncourt Home Destoyed By Fire

Town of Salina, N.Y - A morning fire in Lyncourt has destroyed a home. It happened around 11at 217 Snyder Avenue.

Two people were in the home when it began to fill up with smoke. One occupant was able to escape but had to shatter a window to help the other person out of the burning house. Both were uninjured however their family dog is believed to have died in the fire.

It took firefighters approximately 30 minutes to get the fire under control and extinguished.

Deputies say the homeowner had been working on a motorcycle in the basement of the house prior to the fire.

The Investigation is continuing to find the actual cause.
