Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County has come across some money from the United States Department of Justice
Brian Donnelly Deputy County Executive, says the county will receive just over $700,000 dollars. The money will help the county become NIBRS (National Incident Based Reporting System) compliant. This is a way for local law enforcement agencies to submit their required reports and crime data.
Some of the money will also go to purchasing additional technology for Syracuse and Manlius police departments.
Syracuse Police will receive just shy of $261,000 dollars and Manlius PD will receive about $62,000 thousand dollars.
