Oneida County Mobile Home Explodes Sends Three To Hospital

Town of Vernon, N.Y. - An Oneida County mother and her two children are lucky to be alive after their mobile home blew up and caught fire.

Last night just after 7 p.m. at the Quiet Valley Mobile Village in the town of Vernon Center nieghbors were woken by a large boom.

According to the Vernon Center Fire Chief, the mother and her two children were sent to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse with burns.

Investigators believe a propane leak may have caused the explosion.

Neighbors say the explosion shook their homes.

The ensuing fire destroyed their home, and caused damage to neighboring mobile homes as well.
