State AG Clears Syracuse Police Officer Of Any Wrong Doing In Shooting

Syracuse, N.Y. - The Attorney's General Office has determined that a June 2019 officer-involved shooting in Syracuse was justified.

On June 18, of last year 74 year old DeWayne Watkins, was shot and killed by Syracuse Officer David Craw. According to Syracuse Police, Officer Craw shot Watson several times after Watkins raised a gun in a threatening manner.

The officer had no idea that the gun was an inoperable BB gun.
