Syracuse University Suspends Overseas Programs Due To Cornovirus

Syracuse, N.Y. - In response to the coronovirus Syracuse University has suspended its Florence, Italy study abroad program early.

For their safety students are being called home early. The news comes after an order from Italian authorities suspending all school trips. University officials say they believe the risk of infection is low, but students should still exercise caution when traveling.

Students in SU’s London and Madrid programs also received warnings against traveling to Italy.

There have been no confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in New York so far.
