Syracuse Officer-Involved Shooting Update

Syracuse Police Chief Kenton Buckner provided an update regarding yesterday's officer involved shooting

Officers responded to a shots fired call just after 5 am on the city's Southside. The suspect, Jakelle Davis, displayed a gun, causing an officer to fire at him. Davis was hit in the jaw, but is expected to recover from his injuries. None of the officers on scene were wearing body cameras, which Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh called "frustrating" as police continue their investigation into the incident.
