Fight At Family Dollar Involves A Knife, A Metal Stool And Two Arrests

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County Sheriffs say they have charged two men in connection with a stabbing incident on Monday.

It took place at the Shop City Family Dollar Store. Deputies responded to a harassment complaint after a victim, identified as an employee of Rainbow, a neighboring store, called to say she was involved in a verbal dispute with a Family Dollar employee, 39 year old Richard Yorks. She allegeded that he shoved her out of the store causing her to fall to the ground. Deputies say the female victim’s significant other, 31 year old Myquam Perry arrived at the scene and confronted Yorks. During the confrontation, a knife was pulled by Yorks and Perry picked up a metal step stool.

Both men were treated for minor injuries and face several charges.
