SCSD students will be starting their academic year online.
The District's Board of Education decided unanimously to begin the year on September 14th with fully remote classes until October 2nd. The decision coming after an overwhelming majority of teachers voiced concerns about returning to the classroom. The district plans to transition to a hybrid schedule on October 5th, but parents can still opt out of sending their child into the classroom at that point.
