Shoppingtown tenants could see some relief from the Governor's office.
A recent order stopping evictions and foreclosures does apply to those tenants, who had been ordered by the mall's owners to vacate within 30 days. A spokesperson from Governor Cuomo's office says that legally, Shoppingtown's small businesses cannot be ordered to leave.
