Former SUNY Admin Pleads Guilty To Lying On His Resume

A former administrator at a SUNY school has pled guilty after buffing up his resume.

Sergio Garcia intentionally put false information about his education and his work experience in order to secure a role as Chief of Staff at Upstate Medical University. He worked in that position between 2017-18, and an investigation into his history began following a speech where he admitted he had a different role with the US Dept of State. A judge will now determine how much Garcia will need to pay back to SUNY Upstate.
