Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Police have charged a person in the tragic death of 93-year-old Connie Touri.
Syracuse Police Chief Kenton Buckner announced that 23-year-old Victoria Afet, of Syracuse, has been charged with1st-degree murder and 1st-degree burglary. Afet is already in jail on other charges.
Onondaga County District Attorney William Bill Fitzpatrick said that Afet has a long history of crime including an arrest on Feb 18th, for a strong-arm robbery of a 74-year-old woman at Skyline apartments where Touri's body was found.
Fitzpatrick said that Afet was released in regards to the charge a week before she alleged to have killed Touri on February 26th.
Police found Touri's body on March 17th, 19 days later.
Fitzpatrick also stated that they have video evidence that Afet targeted Touri. He also said that other people went into Connie Touri's apartment after her death.
Buckner said there may be more arrests.
