Governor Cuomo Says COVID-19 Numbers In The State Best Since November

East Rockaway, N.Y. - Governor Cuomo today at Bay Park Water Reclamation facility in East Rockaway, NY announced good numbers in regards to COVID-19 in the state.

He announced the single day positivity rate is 2.06%, the lowest one day since November 5th. He said the 7-day positivity statewide is 2.5% lowest since November 10th.

There are 3,567 people in the hospitals statewide, the lowest since November 29 and 811 in the ICU, the lowest since December 3, 2020.

Unfortunately, 45 people in the state died in the past 24 hours.

Cuomo said, "The dedication and determination of New Yorkers in fighting the COVID pandemic is stronger than ever and it shows in the numbers. While we should all be encouraged by the progress we've made, this fight is not yet over and I urge New Yorkers to continue following the practices we know stop COVID in its tracks: wear a mask, wash your hands and social distance. We're all in this together, united, loving and New York Tough."
