Syracuse, N.Y. - Interstate 81 Northbound was shut down for several hours this morning after a truck towing an oversized load struck the West Street bridge
The Tractor and the large piece of construction equipment it was towing suffered damage. The driver was not injured but was issued a ticket for an oversized load.
The truck working for a company in Tennessee was heading to Watertown.
81 North has reopened but here are lanes restrictions as as safety inspections of the bridge take place.
