West Nile Virus Found In Mosquitos In Onondaga County, Triple E In Oswego

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County Health Department says they have found more mosquitoes positive for the West Nile Virus.

The mosquitos came from traps on Route 298 and Island Road in the Cicero Swamp area and at Oneida Shores.

Traps located in the Town of Lysander were negative.

They said they will continue monitor throughout the county and they urge people to continue to take steps to protect themselves from mosquito bites.

The Oswego County Health Department announced that two more mosquito samples collected last week from the town of West Monroe have tested positive for the Eastern equine encephalitis virus.
