Teen Arrested For Byrne Dairy Robberies

Syracuse, N.Y. - A 17 year-old boy has been arraigned in connection to those Byrne Dairy robberies across the region yesterday.

Deputies say they arrested the boy and found a gun on him. They also found another handgun and long gun inside a stolen car that the 17-year-old and his accomplice used in the 3 robberies.

The 17-year-old is also charged with a separate robbery and possession of a weapon from an incident that occurred two weeks ago when he carjacked an employee in front of the Colonial Laundry in Nedrow.

Investigators are openly sharing their frustrations with this case. The boy faces new robbery and weapon possession charges on top of pending several felony robbery charges pending, but because he is 17, the raise the age law prevents him from being held in jail.
