Violent 28 Hours In Syracuse Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Others Shot And One Stabbed

UPDATE: Syracuse Police have identified the victim as 20 year old Dasheem East, of Syracuse.

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Police are investigating another homicide.

Last night around 9:30, Officers responded to the 2000 block of Lodi Street for a shooting call. They found a 20-year-old man shot in the back. The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

That was part of a violent 28 hours in Syracuse that started Sunday night around 11:30, with a shooting in 700 block of West Colvin Street that left a 57-year-old man with gun shot wound to his back.

Monday around 6:30pm police were called to Midland Avenue for a victim shot in the leg.

Then 4am this morning a stabbing call came in for a 51 year old man on Butternut Street who had been stabbed in the chest, he was treated on the scene, and released.

All three expected to survive.
