Camillus Man Arrested After Threatening To Shoot Up Wedding In Skaneateles

Town of Skaneateles, N.Y. - What could have been a horrific tragedy was averted after a Camillus man was subdued at a wedding.

State Police say 46-year-old Christopher Kallfelz, was at a wedding in the Town of Skaneateles Saturday September 16th.

He got drunk, got into some fights, groped several women before being asked to leave.

He then returned with a loaded Anderson AM-15 assault rifle and 30-round magazine. Kallfelz proceeded to walk up the driveway in an aggressive manner according to witnesses.

Many at the wedding feared for their lives. Several subdued Kallfelz until Troopers arrived.

He's facing several charges:

  • (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, class “D” felony
  • (1) count of Making a Terroristic Threat, class “D” felony
  • (4) counts of Forcible Touching, class “A” misdemeanor
  • (1) count of Aggravated DWI, unclassified misdemeanor
