What To Expect In The Final Democratic Debate Before The Iowa Caucus

The pressure is on the six Democratic candidates that have made the last public debate before the Iowa Caucuses.

Tonight's Democratic presidential debate in Des Moines, Iowa will include former Vice President Joe Biden, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar and billionaire businessman Tom Steyer. The debate begins at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on CNN. NBC's Bill Zimpfer and Fox's Jeff Monosso spoke with Dave about what topics will likely dominate the debate.

President Trump's Senate impeachment trial could begin in just a matter of days. Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats will meet this morning to talk about sending the two articles of impeachment to the Senate. The House voted to impeach Trump on December 18th, but Pelosi held off on sending the matter to the GOP-controlled Senate in an effort to get lawmakers to agree to subpoena witnesses. NBC's Michael Bower and Fox's Rachel Sutherland offered their predictions as to when the trial could begin.

And Oscar nominations have left a lot of people wondering why many women- particularly directors- were left out of the running this year. TV/Pop Culture Expert and SU Professor Dr. Robert Thompson spoke with Dave about the most notable absence from the "Best Director" category.

Miss a little, miss a lot.
